Terry Linehan

Despite career advice that she should be a farmer, Terry believed that she would far rather work with people, particularly people with special needs. After a spell working in the Health service, Terry discovered that she was pathologically squeamish about most things medical. She therefore trained to become a teacher, and spent a number of years working in schools, FE colleges and day centres, where she created accessible programmes to help students achieve their potential. During her time as a special needs adviser for London, Terry realised how much she enjoyed designing and delivering training, and this led her to join the Insight team in 1992.

She now runs workshops, facilitates awaydays, leads large groups in world cafe and ‘think-tank’ events, as well as running virtual classrooms for learners around the world. Terry has a Diploma in Performance Coaching, and coaches both individuals and teams. She designs materials and events on many management topics including project management, leadership, personal effectiveness, making an impact and innovation (but she enjoys creative thinking and team skills best!)

Random fact: She once walked across England, following Wainwright’s ‘Coast to Coast’ walk, but she thinks she was fitter then!
